Welcome to The Frantoio

The Frantoio is a luxuriously restored 19th century olive mill.Situated on a sunny south facing hillside in its own nine acre olive estate. The stunning  interiors have been created by combining the best of modern Tuscan design with traditional features such as 'cotto' floors and chestnut beamed ceilings.

Following the recent refurbishment the luxury accommodation now consists of 3 double suites each having bedroom , bathroom and private lounge area. 2 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and 1 twin bedded room with private bathroom. A separate self contained staff suite, consisting bed ,kitchen and en suite can be made available if required.

A new purpose built 'teaching kitchen' has been created suitable for self catering or professional use. The indoor dining hall features the preserved olive grinding wheels and presses while outdoor dining is under the shade of the newly created 'loggia'.

A second 'guest' kitchen has been created at the other end of the Frantoio to conveniently serve the lounge area with drinks etc. An outside door gives access to the barbeque area and on to the pool.

The cinema room doubles as wine cellar and tasting room. An easy place to while away a few hours.

Outside the villa there are a number of large terraces with dining chairs, tables and recliners where you can take full advantage of the views.

The villa is situated in a tranquil, rural location perfect for relaxing and unwinding from the stress and strain of a busy life. You can enjoy a stroll to the ancient village of Castelvecchio along a quiet woodland path which runs through the estate. For the more active there are hiking and mountain bike trails through the hills and woodland to the nearby town of Buti. The Frantoio can be the setting for whatever type of Italian vacation you choose. The location lends itself to photography, painting, wildlife, history, hillwalking, cycling and much more. Click here for a map.
