The Olive Harvest - Autumn 2015
The 2015 Olive Harvest was a great success, after a long hot summer watching the olives slowly develop and ripen we couldn't wait to get started. We enjoyed hand picking the olives with a mixed age group of hard working friends in the late October sunshine. Everyone enthusastically turned up each morning eager to lay nets, pick and fill the crates with shiny green and black olives, even youngest pickers (8 and 11 years) relished climbing the trees to help knock the olives down into the nets from the higher branches. We returned to the Frantoio after pressing at our local mill to enjoy sampling the fresh new oil and the verdict was unanimous......fantastic! Our guests will receive a tasting sample in their welcome pack.
